Mumbai: Three persons were booked after a 22-year-old man recorded a video accusing them of harassment before dying by suicide in Mumbai, an official said on Sunday.
Chandreshkumar Tiwari (22), who worked with a content distribution company allegedly hanged himself in his home at Pratap Nagar in the Malad area on Wednesday.
The official said that before taking his life, Tiwari made an Instagram video, which later became viral, alleging that three persons were harassing him.
Tiwari’s brother told the police that an employee of a rival company, Deepak Vishwakarma, and the owner and manager of an internet service provider’s dealer – Sadanand Kadam and Paresh Shetty – were troubling the victim.
On the complaint of Tiwari’s brother, the Kurar police have booked the trio for abetment to suicide, the official said, adding that a probe is underway.
