Man Uploads Picture of Dawood Ibrahim On His Social Media Profile, Arrested In Noida

Noida: A man has been arrested for allegedly uploading a photo of mafia figure Dawood Ibrahim on his social media profile, police said on Saturday.

The accused has been identified as Junaid alias Rehan, a native of Noida Sector 9. 

“He posted the image on his X account,” the official said.

A case has been filed against the accused under section 196 (1) (B) of the BNS, which addresses actions that disturb community harmony.

An investigation is currently underway, they said. 

Who is Dawood Ibrahim?

Gangster-Mafia Dawood Ibrahim fled India after orchestrating the Mumbai serial bomb blasts in 1993. Since then, Dawood has been operating from West Asia (the Middle East) and has relocated several times before settling in Karachi, according to several reports. 

According to media reports. Dawood Ibrahim, along with his brothers and close associates are still active in underworld. Recent reports suggest that activities such as extortion, murders, and dealings with Dawood's associates in Mumbai are currently managed by Chhota Shakeel, who is believed to be very close to him.

His brother Anees Ibrahim was arrested for drug possession and conspiring to kill Irfan Goga. 

Pakistan continues denied any acknowledgment of Dawood Ibrahim's presence within its borders.
