Jammu: Four back to back earthquakes hit Baramulla, Jammu and Kashmir, one with the strongest magnitude of 4.9.

CCTV footage shows the tremors, but no loss of life reported so far. The epicenter is likely in North Kashmir.

According to the institute, the 4.9 magnitude quake occurred at 06:45 a.m. local time, and hit at a depth of 5 km, about 34 km northeast of Lingig. 

People in Baramulla have shared numerous videos on the social media platform X, showing the intense impact of the earthquake, with the magnitude evident through the moving objects captured in the footage.
