Massive Fire Erupts at Honey Bees Farm Killing Thousands of Bees in Jammu

Jammu: In a tragic incident, thousands of bees were killed and a large number of boxes of honey bee farming were burnt to ashes, after a massive blaze spread in the farming area in the RS Pura Sector on Sunday night. The fire, which broke out in the night of June 16, spread rapidly and engulfed the large part of the farm leading to a mass destruction.

On information, the local police and the fire personnel along with the fire tenders rushed to the spot and efforts were initiated to control the fire. So far, no reports of human injury or casualty have surfaced due to the fire incident.

According to the reports, the fire broke out on Sunday late night, which rapidly spread across the farm. During the incident, a large number of boxes of honey bee farming were gutted into the fire, while thousands of bees were killed.

The cause of the fire is not known yet. The police have registered a complaint from the farm owner and have initiated a probe into the matter.

Further legal action is being taken.
