Kerala: Massive landslides have struck various hilly areas near Meppadi in Kerala’s Wayanad district, leaving hundreds of people feared trapped. The first landslide occurred at nearly 2 AM, followed by another at around 4:10 AM.

As per the district authorities, five people including two children died in the tragic incident. 

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan announced that all government agencies have mobilized to assist with rescue operations following the landslides in Wayanad district.
