Canada-based gangster Lakhbir Singh Landa declared as terrorist by MHA

The Ministry of Home Affairs designated Lakhbir Singh Landa, linked to BKI, as a terrorist due to his alleged involvement in plotting attacks against India.

New Delhi: The Ministry of Home Affairs has designated Lakhbir Singh Landa, a Canada-based gangster, as a terrorist, as per reports on Saturday December 30. 

Allegedly linked to the Khalistani group Babbar Khalsa International (BKI), the 33-year-old was implicated in plotting an RPG attack on Punjab Police Intelligence Headquarters in Mohali in 2021. Further as per reports, Singh has allegedly engaged in various terrorist acts and conspiracies against India. 

Originally from Punjab, he has resided in Canada for several years. The MHA’s decision to declare him a terrorist follows his involvement in activities deemed a threat to India's security.
