Ministry of Home Affairs is looking at an international angle as Dominic Martin, who claimed to be perpetrator behind Kalamassery blasts, was staying abroad, sources said on Monday.
Martin was working as electrical foreman in UAE and had returned last month.
The probe team has said that they are not accepting his confession that he did it all alone.
Three people died and numerous others were injured in the horrifying explosion that occurred inside a Kerala church on Sunday.

A person identified as Dominic Martin has turned himself in to Kodakara police station in Thrissur, Kerala. He claimed that he orchestrated the Kalamassery blasts.
The initial findings of the police investigation indicate that the explosions may have been set off by IEDs, or improvised explosive devices.

Meanwhile, Union Minister Anurag Thakur said questioned Congress leader and Wayanad MP, Rahul Gandhi's "silence" over Kerala's serial blasts, BJP leader said, "Who are these people who want to create chaos here from outside."
While talking to the media persons in Himachal Pradesh's Bilaspur on late Sunday evening, he said, “I condemn the bomb blast incident in Kerala.”
He said, “The silence of Rahul Gandhi who is an MP (Wayanad) from the state, clearly shows that Congress is silently supporting them...After all, who are these people who want to create chaos here from outside?... Congress and the Communist Party are silently supporting them (people behind the blasts) and are not taking action against them.”
Rahul Gandhi denounced the incident and called it "deeply disturbing" in a post on X on Sunday night.
Along with his condolences, he said that he hoped for a quick recovery for those injured to the bereaved family.
"In a civilized society, violence and hatred have no place. The government needs to investigate thoroughly and prosecute those responsible," Rahul continued.
While, Chief Minister Vijayan announced the formation of a 20-person probe team to look into the incidents on Sunday.
Vijayan posted on X, “What happened in Kalamassery is very unfortunate. Currently, 41 people are hospitalised, 27 people admitted in Ernakulam Medical College...4 people discharged. 2 people have died, and 5 are critical. A special team led by ADGP Law and Order will be investigating this incident. 20 members will be in the investigating team.”
Additionally, the CM has scheduled all-party meeting on Monday.
Kerala Police warned people on Sunday not to spread false information about the incident on social media.
