Indian fast bowler Mohammed Shami’s estranged wife and model Hasin Jahan joined the Congress Party on Tuesday. Mumbai Congress President Sanjay Nirupam welcomed Hasin Jahan to the Congress party.
Hasin Jahan made headlines when she accused Indian Cricketer Mohammed Shami of mental and physical assault and having extramarital affairs. The bowler’s wife had posted the screenshots of Shami’s alleged chats with various women. She had also posted a series of pictures of Shami along with his alleged girlfriends.
Mohammed Shami has been, however, denying all the allegations hurled at him by Jahan.

Later, Hasin Jahan filed a case of domestic violence against Mohammed Shami and his family members in the Alipore court in Kolkata. Hasin had earlier filed a police complaint against her husband Shami and four others, pressing charges of domestic violence under Section 498A along with other charges.

The court case was filed under The Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005.
Mohammed Shami’s estranged wife, along with other charges, had levelled allegations of match-fixing, too, against the fast bowler. The Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) Anti-Corruption Unit, however, gave a clean chit to Mohammed Shami over the allegations hurled by his wife.
Notably, hours after Shami got the clean chit, Hasin Jahan’s lawyer said that his client had never verbally or in written made match-fixing allegations against the fast bowler.
Hasin Jahan recently announced that she will be making her Bollywood debut soon, in a movie directed by Amjad Khan.
"When I thought about getting back to modeling. I was asked to come to Mumbai. I went there and did some modeling shoots and a short film, post which Amjad (Khan) sir told me about a film," said Jahan.
