Schools, Colleges To Remain Closed Till Monday Amid Extended Festival Break

Monday Holiday: Schools and colleges across various states are expected to remain closed until Monday, September 16, in observance of the Milad un-Nabi/Id-e-Milad holiday. While an official notice is still pending, both government and private institutions are anticipated to follow this extended break. Many schools already observe Saturdays as a holiday, which could mean a three-day break for students from September 14 to 16.

In addition to the festival-related break, ongoing heavy rains have forced the closure of schools in several states. Madhya Pradesh , experiencing continuous downpours and overflowing rivers, has announced school closures in districts including Bhopal, Bhind, Sagar, Shivpuri, and Ashok Nagar. With rain alerts issued for the next two days, authorities advise residents to remain vigilant.

Similarly, neighboring Chhattisgarh is also grappling with severe weather conditions that have disrupted daily life.
