More Than Rs 1,546 Crore Transferred To 70 Lakh Rajasthan Farmers Under 18th Installment of PM Kisan

More than Rs 1546 crores have been transferred to 70.36 lakh farmers of Rajasthan under 18th installment of the PM Kisan scheme.

Jaipur: More than Rs 1546 crores have been transferred to 70.36 lakh farmers of Rajasthan under 18th instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM Kisan) scheme by Prime Minister Narendra Modi through video conferencing, an official statement said. 

On the occasion, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said on Saturday the state government has taken several important steps for the welfare of farmers.

Sharma attended a program on the occasion of the release of 18th instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM Kisan) scheme by Prime Minister Narendra Modi through video conferencing.

Rajasthan Prosperity Lies In Prosperity of Its Farmers” 

Sharma said the dream of a developed and prosperous Rajasthan will be realised only with the prosperity of the farmer.

In addition to the Rs 6,000 provided under the PM Kisan Yojana, farmers in Rajasthan are also receiving Rs 2,000 per year through the Chief Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.

Furthermore, wheat is being purchased at Rs 2,400 per quintal, which includes a bonus of Rs 125 above the support price of Rs 2,275 per quintal, as mentioned by the speaker.

Rajya Sabha MP Madan Rathore also participated in this program from the Chief Minister's residence.

What is PM Kisan Scheme?

The PM-KISAN scheme aims to supplement the financial needs of the SMFs in procuring various inputs to ensure proper crop health and appropriate yields, commensurate with the anticipated farm income at the end of the each crop cycle. 

Under the Scheme, a direct payment of Rs 6000 per year will be transferred in three equal installments of Rs. 2000 each every four months into the Aadhar seeded bank accounts of eligible landholding SMFs families.
