Prime Minister Narendra Modi asserted that the small as well as Adivasi (tribals) farmers are the top priority of the BJP government. While addressing the Vijay Shankhnad Rally in Chhattisgarh's Raigarh, he stated that the BJP is making constant efforts to give importance to the produce of small farmers and ensure that they get higher prices.

Citing the example of the recent G20 summit, the Prime Minister informed that the President of India served the global leaders the local coarse grain cereals of the country which are grown by small and tribal farmers. 

"Recently the delegates who came to Delhi to attend the G20 summit, our President Droupadi Murmu served them with Kodo, Kutki, and Ragi (coarse grain cereals). Those things which we eat at our homes are referred to as Mota Anaj or Shree Ann. These crops are grown by our small and Adivasi farmers on the small lands which they own," he told the public. 

PM Modi further said, "Humne in mote Anajo Se, Bade Bade Netaon Ka Swagat Kiya (We welcomed global leaders with our coarse grains)

He stated that the Mission of Modi is to make India's grains, which are grown in the field of small farmers, the lifeblood of the World's nutrition and nutritional security. The Prime Minister noted the development of roads, railways and electricity is needed in Chhattisgarh which is why it is important that a BJP government comes to power in the state as these benefits will reach the distant villages and the poorest.

PM Modi slams Congress govt

Taking a dig at the Congress-led Bhupesh Baghel government in Chhattisgarh, PM said that the latter's government has even indulged in cow dung scam. "Imagine the mentality of a person who practices corruption in cow dung," the Prime Minister questioned speaking at a public event in Raigarh. He added that BJP which is in opposition in the state has alleged scam in cow dung procurement under the state's Gaudhan Nyay Yojana.

Further escalating attack on Congress, the Prime Minister said, "The kind of scams the Congress practices, fills up the coffers of their leaders. Though they have fallen back in poverty alleviation, the Congress government is moving forward in corruption."
