Hyderabad: In yet another tragic incident, Mohd Sohail (23), a renowned bodybuilding champion and winner of Mr. Telangana, has died in a road accident. The incident occurred on June 29 when Sohail and his friend, Mohd Khadir (23), were travelling from Siddipet to Mirudoddi on a two-wheeler. Sohail reportedly lost control of the vehicle and collided with an auto-rickshaw carrying scrap near Mirudoddi.
Both Sohail and Khadir suffered severe injuries and were rushed to a private hospital in Hyderabad. Despite medical efforts, Sohail succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday while undergoing treatment.
Sohail had earned numerous accolades throughout his career, including victories at district-level, state-level, and South India-level bodybuilding competitions. His win at the Mr. Telangana championship was a big highlight of his achievements.
His friend Afridi expressed grief over the loss of a dear friend with a promising future in bodybuilding. The Mirudoddi police, who have registered a case, have attributed the accident to over-speeding.
