Noida Police Nabs 3 Criminals In Encounter Involved in Sensational Case Of Robbery
Noida Police arrested three individuals suspected of being involved in a robbery. During interrogation, the trio reportedly confessed their crime.
Noida (UP): Noida Police arrested three individuals in an encounter suspected of being involved in a sensational case of robbery. The incident took place on the night of September 30th, 2024, near Amethi Gol Chakkar in Sector 39.
Suspicious Activity Leads to High-Speed Chase
Noida Police personnel from Sector 39 were conducting routine checks on vehicles and individuals near Amethi Gol Chakkar. During a routine check, they spotted three men riding a white scooter bearing a Delhi registration number (DL 3S DA 0388). When police asked them to stop, the suspects reportedly fled towards Sector 98.
One Suspect Injured
As police started chasing the fleeing suspects they opened fire on the pursuing police team. In a quick response, police retaliated, leading to the injury of one suspect, identified as Manish, son of Mahendra. The injured man was apprehended and taken to the nearest hospital for treatment.
Gun and Ammunition Recovered
The remaining two suspects, Vishal (son of Shyamlal) and Sumit (son of Ramesh) were also caught during the combing operation. A stolen scooter from Delhi, along with an illegal weapon (a .315 bore pistol) and ammunition, was recovered from their possession.
Confession Leads to Additional Charges
During interrogation, the trio reportedly confessed to their involvement in the robbery of an e-rickshaw near Sector 98 on September 25th, 2024. Police currently trying to recover the stolen vehicle based on the suspects' confessions.
Investigation Continues
The Noida Police are actively investigating the criminal history of the arrested individuals. Manish faces charges under U.P. No. 561/2024 (Section 309(4), 115(2)) registered at the Sector 39 police station. Vishal, on the other hand, has a pending case under U.P. No. 029172/24 (Section 303(2)) for motor vehicle theft lodged at an MV Theft Police Station in Delhi.
