Poll Of Polls: Congress Likely To Win Haryana, BJP-NC Cliffhanger In J&K | Highlights

"We will win more seats than what the exit polls have predicted. People have actively participated in this festival of democracy, and as per the trends, Congress will form the government and Bhupinder Singh Hooda will become the CM again," said Congress candidate from Jhajjar Assembly constituency, Geeta Bhukkal on exit poll predictions.

Congress will form the government in Haryana and the party high command will decide on Haryana CM pick, said Bhupinder Hooda.

BJP national spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari on exit poll predictions for Jammu and Kashmir | “BJP is going to form the government in Jammu and Kashmir. Democracy has won there and a historic voter turnout was seen in the state. Areas like Sopore and Shopian, where calls for blackout and shutdown were raised in the past, saw more than 40 per cent voting. Today we are absolutely confident that a BJP-led government will be formed in the state.”

On exit poll PDP leader and candidate from Lal Chowk Assembly constituency, Zuhaib Yousf Mir says, "According to us exit polls are not a serious activity but time pass activity. PDP is confident that it will be an indispensable & important part of the secular govt which will form in J&K. We had said that we are ready to take any step to save the identity of Kashmir but for this, it is important that we formulate a secular govt, a govt against BJP not with them. Even if the PDP makes any secular govt by extending support, it will not last long as they(BJP) will try to run this govt in  Delhi style..."

On Exit polls, Haryana Congress Spokesperson Kewal Dhingra says, "I don't think JJP will get any seats and it should remain at nill... BJP will be somewhere around 10 seats...Our number will be 60 plus..."

Congress leader Harish Rawat says, "Congress is winning the elections. I am hopeful that we will make a record win in Haryana. We will form the government in Haryana...Our alliance will win in Jammu &Kashmir and Maharashtra. Later, we will win in Jharkhand also. We will win in Uttar Pradesh and Kedarnath (Uttarakhand) also... Congress and NC will form its government in J&K."

According to C-Voter, the BJP may get 20-28 seats in Haryana, Congress is likely to get 50-58 seats, JJP may get 2, INLD and AAP may not be able to open their account while 10-14 seats are likely to be grabbed by other or independent candidates in Haryana.

According to C Voter, the BJP may get 27-32 seats, NC-Congress alliance may get 40-48 seats, PDP is likely to get 6-12 seats and others may bag between 6-11 seats in Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Dainik Bhaskar, the BJP may get 24-34 seats, NC-Congress alliance may get  may 35-40 seats, PDP may get 6-12 seats and others may bag between 6-11 seats in Jammu and Kashmir.

“These are just the exit polls. BJP will form majority governments at both the places. BJP will receive the blessings of poor, youth, women and farmers. Double-engine government is going to be formed in both the states,” said BJP’s in-charge for Jammu and Kashmir Tarun Chugh on exit poll predictions for Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir.

On Exit polls, Congress candidate from Panchkula assembly seat Chander Mohan says, "Congress will win 70 seats and BJP will get 17. We will form a government with full majority."

According to Axis My India exit poll, the BJP may win 24-34 seats in J&K, NC-Congress alliance may win 35-45, PDP may get 4-6 and others may bag between 8-23 seats.

According to Jist-TIF research, the BJP may get 29-37 seats, Congress may get 45-53 seats, JJP may get 1, INLD is likely to bag 2-3 seats and others may win 3-5 seats in Haryana.

Speaking on exit polls outcome, senior Congress leader Bhupinder Hooda said they will work towards unemployment. 

The numbers may be indicative of what is coming ahead but I don't agree with that: Prateek Som, JJP spokesperson, on Haryana exit polls. 

The poll prediction is surely on expected lines in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K). It has to be a hung-house and there is not even a single party, which will have a majority to the extent they will be in a position to form a government, said Ahmad Ayaz.

The latest PMARQ Exit Polls for the Haryana Assembly Elections 2024 reveal a potential win for Congress (INC+), predicted to secure 51-61 seats with a 44 per cent vote share. The BJP+ is expected to win 27-35 seats, garnering 37 per cent of the vote share, while others parties, including independents and smaller parties, are likely to secure 2-5 seats with a 19 per cent vote share.

According to Peoples Pulse, the BJP is expected to get 20-32 seats, Congress may get 49-61 seats, JJP 0-1, INLD 2-3  and others may get 3-5 seats.

According to Dhruv Research, the BJP is expected to get 22-32 seats, Congress may get 50-64 seats, while JJP, INLD, and AAP are not likely to win even a single seat and others may get 2-8 seats.

According to Dainik Bhaskar's Exit Polls, the BJP is expected to get 15-29 seats, Congress may get 44-54 seats, JJP may get 1, INLD may bag 1-5, AAP 1 and others 4-9 seats.

According to the Gulistan Exit Poll, the BJP is likely to win 28-30 seats, Congress 3-6 seats, National Conference may get 28-30 seats, PDP is expected to secure 5-7 seats and others may bag 8-16 seats in Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections. 

According to the Matrize Exit Poll, the Congress is likely to win 55-62 seats in Haryana, BJP may get 18-24. There are a total of 90 Assembly seats in Haryana. To form the government, a party needs to win 46 seats to claim the majority.

In Jammu and Kashmir, the National Conference (NC) and Congress are in the pre-poll alliance in the Union Territory. J&K has a total of 90 Assembly seats. 

Till 5 pm, over 60 per cent polling has been recorded in Haryana Assembly elections. The voting concluded at 6 pm.

In 2024 Lok Sabha elections, both BJP and Congress won 5 seats each. It was a setback for the saffron party from 2019 when it won all the 10 seats. 

Jammu and Kashmir witnessed its first Assembly election since the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019. The polling was held in 3 phases on September 18, 25 and October 1. 

Assembly elections in Haryana is taking place today in one single phase on all the 90 seats. The results will be declared on October 8. The key contest in Haryana is between BJP and Congress.
