Property of Drug Peddler Worth Crores Seized in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam
Property of drug peddler worth crorers were seized. The seized building is a double-storied residential house measuring 1145 square feet.

Kulgam: The Kulgam Police on Tuesday seized properties worth crores of a drug peddler at Nassu Badragund, Qazigund town of Jammu and Kashmir, said an official release.The seized building is a double-storied residential house measuring 1145 square feet.
The drug peddler has been identified as Ghulam Rasool Bhat, son of Ghulam Mohammad Bhat, a resident of Nassu Badragund, Qazigund town.Ghulam Rasool Bhat is presently lodged in central Jail Kot Balwal, Jammu under Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1988 (PIT NDPS Act).
The official release reads, "Continuing its unwavering efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Police in Kulgam attached property worth crores of a drug peddler at Nassu Badragund, Qazigund."An FIR has been registered and police are investigating the matter
During the course of investigation, the property was prima facie acquired from illicit trafficking in Narcotic drug and Psychotropic substances by the above-mentioned drug peddler.

The property was acquired under Section 68(E) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (NDPS).A case has been registered and the property belonging to the drug peddler Manzoor Ahmad Mir, son of Ab Jabbar Mir has been taken to a preventive custody for drug peddling.
