A clash erupted between police personnel and public over power outage in West Bengal's Malda on Thursday.

Malda: A clash erupted between police personnel and public over power outage in West Bengal's Malda on Thursday. 

The residents in Malda was experiencing power outage since several days. 

As a mark of protest the villagers blocked the road. 

When police moved to the spot to remove the blockade, a clash broke out between police personnel and the locals. 

The Inspector-in-charge (IC) of Manikachak police station got injured along with some policemen.

Locals  alleged that police opted for firing to control the crowd. 

Meanwhile, it was also alleged that the crowd vandalized the police vehicles.
