Punjab schools closed till January 14 for students up to Class 10

Punjab: In response to the biting cold weather, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann took to social media X to announce a temporary closure of all government and private schools in Punjab for students up to Class 10. The winter break, effective from January 8 to January 14, is a precautionary measure to ensure the well-being and safety of young learners during the severe cold spell.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann shared the decision on his official social media account X. The temporary closure is aimed at preventing any health risks associated with exposure to extremely low temperatures.
“Keeping in view the severe cold, it has been decided to have a holiday from January 8 to January 14 in all the government and private schools of Punjab up to class 10,” he posted on social media platform X.
