New Delhi: Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu’s remark on Congress leader and the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi seems to have sparked a row in the political arena prompting the Congress party leaders to launch an attack on him. Bittu, while responding to Rahul Gandhi’s alleged controversial statements on Sikhs during his recent visit to the United States, called the Congress MP, the terrorist number 1. The BJP leader further added that a reward should be announced for catching Rahul Gandhi as he is the biggest enemy of the country, who always attempts to ignite tension and hamper the peace and sovereignty of the nation.

Talking to the media personnel, Union Minister of State Railway and Food Processing Industries Bittu said, “ Rahul Gandhi has tried to divide the Sikhs. Sikhs are not associated with any party and this is an attempt to spark a fire. Rahul Gandhi is the country's number one terrorist.”

What Ravneet Bittu Said

“Jo desh ke dushman hain, jo hamesha baarud, goli, har time maarne ki koshish karte hain, udane ki koshis karte hain jahajo ko, train ko, road ko. Jab wo log Rahul Gandhi ki support me agaye toh aap andaza laga lijiye, Rahul Gandhi khud desh ke number one terrorist, agar kisi par inaam hona chahiye pakadane ke liye, ya desh ka sabse bada dushman jisko manna chahiye agencies ko, wo aaj Rahul Gandhi hain (Those who are enemies of the country, who always use bullets, every time attempt to kill, attempt to blow up planes, trains, roads, when they come forward in support of Rahul Gandhi, then, you guess, Rahul Gandhi himself is the country's number one terrorist. If there should be a reward for anyone, or the country's biggest enemy whom the agencies should consider, he is Rahul Gandhi today)," Bittu said.

Bittu, a former Congress party member, who joined the Bharatiya Janata Party ( BJP ) ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, lashed Rahul Gandhi for using Sikhs community to satisfy his political agenda, saying, "Earlier, they tried to use Muslims, but it did not happen and now they are attempting to divide Sikhs. The most wanted people of the country had given such statements earlier before Rahul Gandhi did. Even those who are terrorists have appreciated Rahul Gandhi's remarks. When such people are supporting Rahul Gandhi, then he is the number one terrorist in the country."

"In my opinion, if there should be a reward for catching anyone or the biggest enemy of the country, it is Rahul Gandhi ," he said, adding that in his view, Rahul Gandhi was not an Indian as he had spent most of his time outside India.

"Look, Rahul Gandhi , in my opinion, is not an Indian. He has spent most of his time outside the world. His friends and family are there. That is why I think that somewhere he doesn’t love his country much because he goes abroad and says such negative things about India," he said.

What Rahul Gandhi Said

This remark from the Union Minister has come up, following Rahul Gandhi ’s statement on the state of religious freedom in India, citing the example of Sikhs, at an event in Virginia in the US.

Referring to his statement in context with India, Rahul Gandhi had said, "The fight is about whether a Sikh is going to be allowed to wear a turban, whether a Sikh will be allowed to wear a ‘kada’ or go to the Gurudwara. That's what the fight is about, and it's not just for Sikhs, but for all religions."
