After Murdering Wife, Accused Surrenders to Police

Police said that the accused Ramesh Kumar (37) reached the police station and informed the cops about the murder incident. Upon receiving information from the accused police immediately left for the spot of the incident, where his wife’s body was found lying on a cot.

“The woman was the mother of three children,” an official said.

The motive behind the murder is yet to be ascertained.

Earlier in June this year, a man from Aalamsaria village in Barmer district’s Dhorimanna police station area brutally murdered his wife with an axe while she was asleep on Tuesday night. The reason behind the heinous crime was the wife’s excessive use of her mobile phone, which led to constant fights between the couple.

When the victim’s 27-year-old daughter heard her mother’s screams and tried to intervene, the father attacked her as well with the axe, leaving her injured.  Police have filed a case based on the daughter’s statement and have arrested the man.
