Karnataka: In an explosive investigation, the Republic Kannada team on Tuesday exposed the unhindered activities of the sand mafia operating in Karnataka, by capturing their illegal operations at Karpur Lake in Bengaluru's Anekal.

The investigative report reveals the audacious illegal activities of the sand mafias in broad daylight, capturing the illicit transportation of sand from the lake bed. The expose features footage of more than 10 thousand trucks loaded with sand, blatantly violating administrative regulations.

During the investigation, the Republic Kannada team confronted the sand mafias, engaged in illicit sand mining operations at Karpur Lake.

Shockingly, JCB-Hitachi drivers were seen fleeing upon spotting Republic cameras. Villagers, fed up with the exploitation, took matters into their own hands by halting trucks carrying sand from the lake bed.
