Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi Assassination: Find out more about man who claimed murder of Rajput leader

Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, the national president of Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena, fell victim to a fatal shooting perpetrated by unidentified assailants on motorcycles in Jaipur. Following the attack, he was swiftly transported to a nearby hospital, where medical professionals pronounced him dead upon arrival. A video capturing the brutal murder has recently come to light.
As per preliminary investigations, four wrongdoers forcibly entered his residence and shot at him. The incident occurred at approximately 12:30 pm yesterday. The incident happened in Shyam Nagar behind the Dana Pani restaurant. Gogamedi died from his wounds while receiving treatment in the hospital. Following their arrival at the crime scene, Shyam Nagar police examined the CCTV footage in an attempt to learn more about the attackers. Authorities state that during the attack, two more people suffered injuries.
Death Threats From Lawrence Bishnoi Gang
Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi had earlier received a threat from Sampat Nehra of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. He'd also informed the police in Jaipur about the threat. "Three individuals arrived here, expressing their intention to meet Sukhdev Singh. Upon entering, they engaged in a conversation with him for approximately 10 minutes, after which they proceeded to open fire on Sukhdev Singh.

Unfortunately, he succumbed to the injuries on the spot, while his security guard sustained injuries and has been hospitalized. In the exchange of gunfire, one of the three assailants was also shot and subsequently lost his life. The entire incident has been documented by CCTV footage. We are actively working to identify and apprehend the perpetrators at the earliest," stated Biju George Joseph, Jaipur Police Commissioner.
Bishnoi Gang Claimed Accountability

Rohit Godara Kapurisar, a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, has claimed accountability for the assassination of Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, contending that Gogamedi was supporting their adversaries and bolstering their strength. Kapurisar has additionally issued threats, cautioning his foes that they, too, will face a similar fate. A Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team conducted an examination at the site of the crime, where Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi fell victim to gunfire orchestrated by unidentified criminals on motorcycles.
Who is Rohit Godara Kapurisar?
Rohit is a gang member of notorious gangster Lawrance Bishnoi. An hour after the Karni Sena chief’s cold-blooded murder within his house, Godara’s Facebook post surfaced where he claimed entire responsibility for the killing. Rohit Godara, a notorious criminal from Rajasthan, is presently running the entire crime nexus from abroad. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has initiated measures to apprehend him.
Gangster Rohit Godara hails from Bikaner's Lunakaran and is believed to be currently residing in Canada, reportedly carrying out criminal activities at the behest of Lawrence Bishnoi. With a criminal record that spans more than 32 cases filed at various police stations nationwide, Godara has been involved in criminal activities since the age of 19.
Notably, he is implicated in the murder of rapper Sidhu Moose Wala, who was fatally shot in Punjab's Mansa district on May 29 last year. Godara is also the prime accused in the murder of gangster Raju Thehat in Sikar last year, a crime for which he had similarly claimed responsibility in a Facebook post.
Entering the criminal underworld in 2010, Godara fled from Delhi to Dubai using a fake passport, leading to the issuance of an Interpol Red Notice circular against him. Reports suggest that he operated extortion rackets in Rajasthan, demanding sums ranging from ₹5 to ₹17 crore from businessmen.

Rajasthan Police also issued a reward of Rs. 1 Lakh on Rohit Godara's head in February 2023 this year.
Following the tragic shooting incident that claimed the life of Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi, a prominent Rajput leader, his supporters have declared a statewide bandh in Rajasthan today.
Another Karni Sena Official Found Dead
In June of this year, under suspicious circumstances, a Karni Sena local official was found dead in his car in the Madhya Pradesh city of Indore. The worker sustained gunshot wounds. The body of Karni Sena district working President Mohit Patel, 27, was discovered in his car beneath the Kanadiya police station, according to a PTI report. Upon initial observation, it seemed as though two bullets were fired from point-blank range into his chest, according to Additional Commissioner of Police Jayant Rathore.
Massive demonstrations were held by Karni Sena supporters all over the city on Tuesday following the murder of Rashtriya Rajput, Karni Sena Chief, by unidentified assailants.
