Suspicious Object Found Along Handwara-Baramulla National Highway in J&K, Traffic Hit

Jammu: Traffic movement was suspended on the Handwara-Baramulla national highway after a suspicious object found at Thokerpora in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir, on Thursday.

Notably, an Indian Army convoy was moving on the same national highway when the object was found.

Meanwhle, security has been heightened in the area and Jammu and Kashmir police, Army, CRPF and BDS have been called at the spot to assess the situation.

Long queues of trucks, taxis, and other vehicles were seen halted as army and police stood guard while the bomb disposal squad was assessing the object.
