Telangana Farmer Dies by Suicide Alleging Land Grabbing by Congress Leader
A 43-year-old farmer named Bojadla Prabhakar hailing from Telangana’s Khammam allegedly died by suicide on Tuesday.

Khammam: A 43-year-old farmer named Bojadla Prabhakar hailing from Telangana’s Khammam recorded a video before allegedly dying by suicide. In the video, he appealed to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Deputy CM Mallu Bhatti Vikramarkato to address his problem and do justice to his family.
Prabhakar in the video said, "Some people destroyed my land. Now I want to appeal to the CM and the Deputy CM so that the farmers' lives would be saved." He further stated that he filed a complaint to the MRO, Senior Inspector and Collector but there was no response." He said, “Consuming pesticide is my only way out.”
In the video, he also mentioned that he voted for Congress' government thinking that it would be good. He said, “I pray that at least my family will get justice after my death.”
According to police, there was an issue between Prabhakar and the fisheries society as he had allegedly encroached upon some land. Recently officials made markings on the land. Cops said that he was on the wrong side of the law for encroachment on the land and did not want society to take back the land."

A police official said, “We are gathering more information about the land. However, it looks like some people would have motivated him to commit suicide. A case has been registered and also the preliminary investigation shows that there is no evidence that there is any involvement of the people that he has accused of in the video. Prabhakar’s body has been shifted for post-mortem.”
Meanwhile, the Opposition parties including the BRS and BJP hit out at the Congress government in Telangana over the alleged farmer's suicide as he couldn’t get help from SI, Tehsildar or Collector.

Reacting to the incident, BRS working president KT Rama Rao on X stated, "Plight of Farmers in Telangana. The “Change” that Congress ushered in".
Reacting strongly to the incident Reddy ordered the officials to immediately conduct a comprehensive inquiry into the incident and take strict action against those responsible.
