Patan: A horrific road accident occurred on Diwali day in Gujarat 's Patan, resulting in the tragic deaths of a family of four members including two children. The collision involved a ‘Chota Hathi’ tempo and an Alto car near Ramgarh in the Chanasma tehsil. The fatal road accident occurred on Thursday afternoon as the family was travelling to Vada village to celebrate the Diwali festival.

The victims, identified as Shambhuji Jumaji Thakor (38), his wife Priya Shambhuji Thakor (34), and their two children, Vihant (8) and an 11-year-old daughter, were all travelling in the car. The family was en route from Kadi to Banaskantha when the fatal accident occurred on the Chanasma Harij Highway.

Upon receiving information about the accident, the police quickly arrived at the scene and initiated further legal action. The police confirmed that the entire family travelling in the car died as a result of the deadly accident between the two vehicles. The driver of the goods carrier sustained injuries, and another person commuting on the road was also reported injured.

The injured individuals were promptly taken to Dharpur Medical Hospital in Patan for treatment. The police have initiated a probe into the matter for further legal action.
