UP News Update: The UP has once again altered the times of schools up to class 8. The directive for the revised timings was issued on Wednesday by Dr. MK Shanmuga Sundaram, Principal Secretary of the Basic Education Department. On Fridays and Saturdays, classes will meet at their regular times. On July 1st, schools will open at the revised times.
Teachers are truly confused by the government's and the Directorate of Education's often-changing directives regarding the schedules of council schools. The Director General of Basic Education had issued an order on June 18 to change the hours of operation of schools from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. starting on July 1. However, that same evening, the Director General of School Education issued an order changing the hours of operation of schools from 7.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m.
The remaining points of the orders from all three tiers are identical in this regard. Council schools, for instance, will reopen on June 28 following summer break. The first two days of classes, on Friday, June 28, and Saturday, June 29, will run from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. After that, on Monday, July 1st, classes will be in session from 7.30 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. In order to make the school environment appealing and kid-friendly, schools were cleaned and adorned with flowers and leaves before to the 28th summer holiday opening.
When kids arrived at school on June 28, they were greeted with roli-tika. During the midday lunch on this particular day, the students were served delicious dishes like kheer and halwa. Additionally, there are instructions to extend a special greeting to the children who are enrolling for the first and sixth classes. The school officially started for teachers on June 25 in order to prepare for all of this. The teachers were given instructions stating that the campus would be dirty upon reopening following the summer break. Thus, from June 25 to June 27, the campus should be thoroughly cleaned in order to make the school seem lovely and appealing.
