Van Driver Molests Girl Studying in LKG In Lucknow, Arrested

Lucknow: In a shocking incident, a 52-year-old man working as van driver has been arrested in Uttar Pradesh’s capital Lucknow for sexually assaulting a girl who was studying in Lower kindergarten (LKG) at a private school. 

The girl aged (6) brought the matter to light by telling her parents about the incident. 

“The incident was reported at the city’s Gudamba police station on August 29, after which police lodged a complaint and arrested the accused, Vimlesh Kumar Verma, the same day,” police said. 

According to the victim’s family, the accused had been harassing their daughter for almost 30 days. 

“On Thursday, when she returned from school, she was very quiet and was not even eating food. When we asked her lovingly, she told us that the driver touched her badly,” the complaint registered by the family read. 

According to the minor's account, the driver had asked her to remain silent on the issue and not tell her mother about this. 

“The driver is being produced before court and necessary action is being taken,” said the DCP while adding that the van was not managed by the school's transport authorities.
