Villagers In J-K's Samba Found 49 Ammunition While Cleaning Well

49 rounds of live ammunition were recovered by locals from a well in Jammu and Kashmir's Samba district on Tuesday evening.

Samba: At least 49 rounds of live ammunition were recovered by locals from a well in Jammu and Kashmir's Samba district on Tuesday evening. The incident took place, when the residents in the area were cleaning the well. Information was immediately passed to the Jammu and Kashmir police. 

The police reached the site and seized the ammunition. A case has been registered in the matter and a probe has been initiated. 

A senior police official stated that information was received by the local police regarding the recovery of ammunition from a well, while a few people were cleaning the well. A total of 49 rounds were recovered from the well located in the Bain Galad border village. 

They informed the police and the BSF, which took custody of the ammunition and started investigation into it.
