Jaipur: A viral video of a burning car speeding on the roads in the Sodala Sabzi Mandi area in Rajasthan ’s Jaipur is being widely shared on social media. In the video, a driverless car, which turned into a fireball, was caught moving on an elevated road in Jaipur, while the people were captured running in panic to save themselves from the burning car. According to the reports, the incident occurred on Friday evening, which was recorded on a phone by a passerby and shared on social media.

Fortunately, the driver of the car escaped unhurt, while no one else sustained injury during the incident.

According to the reports, a moving car suddenly caught fire on an elevated road near Sodala Sabzi Mandi on Friday evening. The driver of the car, identified as Jitendra, jumped out of the car after spotting flames and smoke from the car. The car however kept moving on the road and crossed the entire stretch of the elevated road. It eventually came to a halt after colliding with the divider at the other end of the bridge.

According to eyewitnesses, the car was in motion when it suddenly burst into flames. Jitendra's quick thinking and presence of mind helped him escape without any injuries.

"I was driving home from work when I noticed smoke coming from the bonnet," Jitendra said in a statement. "I immediately applied the brakes and jumped out of the car. I'm just grateful to have made it out alive."

Preliminary investigations suggest that the fire was caused by a short circuit. The incident has raised concerns about vehicle safety and the need for regular maintenance checks.
