Who is Rahul Navin the Newly Appointed ED Chief?

Rahul Navin took charge as the new Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday. The decision was announced by the appointments Committtee of the Cabinet. Navin, holding the position of Special Director in the ED, is an Indian Revenue Service officer (Income Tax) from the 1993 batch. 

He stepped into the position of acting director of the probe agency on the completion of the tenure of the previous director, Sanjay Kumar Mishra, on September 15, 2023.

Before his appointment as In-charge Director, Navin had been working closely with Sanjay Mishra, who was giving him experience and insights into the position he was expected to assume.
