Bahraich: Panic continues to grip Bahraich in Uttar Pradesh as one more person was killed and two others sustained injuries in the wolf attack in the district on Monday. This time the victim was a three-year-old girl.

The attacks have raised alarm about the safety of residents in the region and sparked concerns over the behavior of these man-eater wolves who have been hunting in the region for the past many weeks. So far, the deadly predators have claimed 10 lives and left 51 people injured in two months.

According to sources, the area saw three wolf attacks last night, in which two people sustained serious injuries while the minor lost her life.

According to CHC In-Charge Mahasi, "A three-year-old girl killed and two other women were injured in a wolf attack late last night.

Meanwhile, Bahraich DM Monika Rani have urged people to sleep indoors in the wake of the deadly attacks.

Speaking on the death of the child in wolf attack, the Bahraich DM said, "We have caught 4 wolves, 2 are left... Our team is continuously patrolling, we are trying our best to catch them as soon as possible...I request people to sleep indoors...A 2.5-year-old child has been attacked by a wolf...I request the people here to be alert..."

Over 35 villages in the regions are on high alert after a pack of wolves killed at least 10 people in last 2 months.

The forest department has managed to catch four wolves so far under 'Operation Bhediya', and is using elephant dung and urine to drive away the others. The department has also formed several teams to patrol the areas in the night.
