Woman, Her 2 Daughters Killed as Gas Cylinder Explodes While Cooking in Ghaziabad
A woman and her 2 daughters were killed and over 5 were injured after a gas cylinder exploded while cooking at a house in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad on Sunday.
Ghaziabad: In a tragic incident, a woman and her two daughters were killed and over 5 were severely injured after a cooking gas cylinder exploded while cooking at a house in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad on Sunday. The incident took place at a house in the New Defense Colony of Tila Mod area. It is being said that the explosion occurred due to gas leakage after which the house was engulfed with massive blaze.
On information, the local police and a team of fire-fighters rushed to the spot and initiated a rescue operation. The victims were shifted to various hospitals with the help of ambulances, where the woman and her two daughters were declared dead.
It is being said that around 7-8 people were present in the house at the time of the incident, while the deceased woman was cooking food along with her two daughters.
As per police sources, one Nathuram, resides with his family in New Defense Colony at Tila Mod. On Sunday afternoon a blast occurred in a gas cylinder kept in the kitchen due to gas leakage, which led to the incident. The deceased have been identified as Bagmati and her two daughters Himani and Priyanka.
Apart from the three deceased, Nathu Ram, Mukesh, Sonu and Ankit sustained severe burn injuries and are being treated at a hospital. The condition of all the injured is said to be serious.
A case has been registered into the matter and a probe has been initiated.
