Dhanteras, also known as Dhantrayodashi, is an auspicious festival celebrated before Diwali .
This sacred day is dedicated to three deities: Lord Kuber, the god of wealth; Lord Dhanvantari, the god of Ayurveda and health; and Goddess Lakshmi. On Dhanteras, people buy silver, gold, utensils, and brooms, as these purchases are considered to bring good fortune.
