Noida: The 5.5-km Bhangel Elevated Road in Noida, which has been under construction for a while, is almost ready for its grand opening. The Noida Authority recently announced that the project is 90% complete and is expected to open by April 2025. However, before commuters can enjoy the smooth traffic flow, a key construction activity is set to cause a temporary diversion at Barola crossing. Here’s everything you need to know about the ongoing developments and how it will impact traffic.

Traffic Diversion at Barola Crossing for a Month

In preparation for placing a 50-meter-long steel girder on the Bhangel Elevated Road, the Noida Authority has announced a month-long traffic diversion at Barola crossing. This important part of the project will begin soon, with traffic being redirected from all four directions. The girder will be installed between Bhangel and Barola, and the diversion is expected to last until March 31, 2025.

Where Will the Traffic Be Diverted?

To minimize disruption, the traffic will be redirected as follows:

Vehicles coming from Hajipur underpass will be diverted towards Sector 49 using internal roads of Sector 100.

What’s Left to Complete on the Bhangel Elevated Road?

The Bhangel Elevated Road is a key infrastructure project designed to ease the heavy traffic congestion in the region. At present, 90% of the work has been completed. The remaining tasks include the construction of 6 to 7 girders and applying tar to the road. With the ongoing work, the Noida Authority plans to finish the remaining construction by March 2025.

Once fully completed, the Bhangel Elevated Road will provide major relief to Delhi/NCR residents, significantly reducing the traffic on the Bhangel route.

Bhangel Elevated Road Expected To Open by April 2025

The Noida Authority has set a target for the elevated road to be fully operational by April 2025. Once the project is open to the public, commuters can expect a smoother, faster travel experience, helping ease congestion and improve traffic flow across Noida.
