Grammy Awards 2024: Miley Cyrus Dons Maison Margiela’s Custom Dress Made Entirely From Safety Pins

The 66th Grammy Awards have begun and as the biggest night of music is here many celebrities graced the occasion in style. However, nobody made a statement at the red carpet like American pop sensation Miley Cyrus. The A-lister musician made heads turn on the red carpet in a custom Maison Margiela which was created out of safety pins and a couple of embellishments. The piece looked nothing less than a piece of art.

Miley managed to steal the limelight in a custom gold see-through Maison Margiela red carpet look. The most bizarre part of Miley’s dress is that each motif on the attire has been very intricately designed using tons of safety pins. The custom creation has been inspired by John Galliano's Fall-Winter 1996 look. 

'This comes in as Miley was nominated for some of the biggest Grammy awards this year, including Album of the Year for her 2023 LP Endless Summer Vacation and Song of the Year for its lead single Flowers. She was also nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, Best Pop Solo Performance and Record of the Year. Out of this, she bagged the award for Best Pop Solo Performance.

Miley Cyrus wins her first ever Grammy 

The Flowers singer triumphed over Doja Cat, Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo and Taylor Swift. She received the coveted trophy from veteran singer Mariah Carey. She said she was "stuck in the rain and traffic" and worried she was going to "miss" the first award of the night, "and I could've missed the award, that's fine, but not Mariah Carey. I just saw you at the Hollywood Bowl, it was everything." 

Carey said "aw" in the background as Cyrus recounted the story before adding, "This song 'Flowers' is my butterfly. Thank you."
