Animal star Triptii Dimri takes cue from Deepika Padukone's Cannes look

Tripti Dimri's blink and miss appearance in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal has put the spotlight on the actress who is now contending with her newfound fame. The actress' latest look, presumably for a wedding function was rather reminiscent of Deepika Padukone's all-pearl look sported by the actress for her jaunt at the Festival de Cannes back in 2022.

Luxe fashion is upping the ante when it comes to embellishments shifting the focus from ornamental extravagance to overstated sartorial accents. The latest specimen in this regard, is Tripti Dimri's all-white look, shared by the actress to her Instagram handle. Tripti opted for a pristine white lehenga, the standout detail of which was the blouse. The butterfly cut piece carried a plunging neck with extensive and symmetrical pearl embroidery lacing the entire volume of the standout piece.

Pearl accents also laced the border of her dupatta, adding a nice finishing touch to the look. Not just this, Tripti's lehenga was an extravagant flurry of texture, courtesy the layered lace inlays and the intricate muakish work. Bright pink lips and dewy makeup completed the actress' look.

Deepika Padukone's romance with pearls

Before Tripti Dimri, Deepika Padukone made quite the statement with her standout Cannes look, earlier last year in May. Also sporting an all-white palette, Deepika's look made for a fusion statement as she globally donned the traditional saree, jazzed up with a modern blouse. The pearl detailing almost doubled up as a neck ornament making quite the statement.

Not just this, the actress has once again opted for pearl embellishments - this time, a much more subtle take. A brocade ivory-accented pantsuit stood embellished with a trailing sheer shrug drawing weight from the layered pearl embroidered borders.
