Lakmé Fashion Week X FDCI: Péro Brings Entire Whimsical World Of Hello Kitty To The Runway
On the opening night of Lakmé Fashion Week, fashion brand Pero tugged at hearts and filled the air with kawaii vibes by unveiling its Hello Kitty collection.
India’s most anticipated fashion event, Lakmé Fashion Week (LFW), kicked off on October 9 in collaboration with the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI).
On the opening night of Lakmé Fashion Week, fashion brand Pero tugged at hearts and filled the air with kawaii vibes by unveiling its Hello Kitty collection, a collaboration with the iconic Hello Kitty brand.
The collection marks a celebration of both brands’ milestones, Pero’s 15th anniversary and Hello Kitty’s 50th.
On how the collaboration came into being, Pero shared the excitement on their official Instagram, with a caption that reads, “Two friends finally come together like they were just meant to be. And it all started with a Hello!”.
Models graced the runway in flowy silhouettes and baggy fits, embodying a playful and nostalgic energy. The show went beyond just showcasing the collection; it brought the entire whimsical world of Hello Kitty to life.
Speaking about the collaboration, designer Aneeth Arora expressed in a press statement, “I am so happy and honoured to celebrate Pero’s 15th anniversary by opening Lakme Fashion Week in partnership with the Fashion Design Council of India. This collection, in particular, is very close to my heart as it is a celebration of our collective childhood nostalgia reinterpreted in our own quirky style. Think cottage core but with a twist.”
Designer Rohit Bal will close this season’s Lakmé Fashion Week with his showcase at 8 p.m. on October 13.
