As per Drik Panchang, the auspicious time for the Karwa Chauth Puja is from 5:46 PM to 7:02 PM, lasting for one hour and 16 minutes. Observes can begin their fast from sunrise at 6:25 AM. The Chaturthi tithi will remain from 06:46 am to 04:16 am on October 21.
Step by Step guide on how to break Karwa Chauth fast
Prepare the puja thali: Gather a diya, mustard oil, water and some snacks and place it on your puja thali.
Wait for the moon: Check out the local moonrise time. Dress up in your ethnic best and wait for the moon to appear with your husband.
Worshipping the moon: Place the lit diya on your sieve and look at the moon through it. Offer water and mathri to the moon.
Look at your spouse through the sieve: After worshipping the moon look at your husband through the sieve.
Drink water: Once the worship is done, husbands are required to help break the fast of their wives by feeding them water and snacks.
Seek blessings: The couple can take blessings of elders for a happy and healthy life together.
