Ingredients for Herby Paneer Parcels

  • 200g paneer, crumbled
  • 1 cup chopped mixed herbs (such as cilantro, mint, and parsley)
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 green chilli, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 8 sheets of filo pastry
  • Olive oil, for brushing

Instructions to make Herby Paneer Parcels

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • In a bowl, mix together paneer, chopped herbs, onion, green chili, ginger-garlic paste, cumin powder, garam masala, and salt.
  • Take one sheet of filo pastry and brush it with olive oil. Place another sheet on top and repeat the process until you have 4 layers.
  • Cut the layered sheets into 4 equal squares.
  • Place a spoonful of the paneer mixture in the center of each square. Fold the sides towards the center to form a parcel.
  • Repeat steps 3-5 with the remaining filo pastry and paneer mixture.
  • Brush the parcels with olive oil and place them on a baking tray.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the parcels are golden and crispy.
  • Serve hot as an appetizer or snack.
