High blood pressure is widely known as hypertension and is, unfortunately, one of the common lifestyle diseases all over the world and even in India. Due to its common nature, high blood pressure is often neglected, but one shouldn't forget that hypertension causes many serious health risks like stroke, heart attack, and even death. High blood pressure is a silent killer as it doesn't show any definite symptoms. Here are some natural ways like yoga and pranayama that can help to maintain blood pressure.

Yoga asanas for maintaining blood pressure

1. Shishuasana- It's called a 'child pose' and helps in regulating blood circulation in the body and relieves stress and fatigue from the body.

2. Vajrasana - This asana is also known as a 'diamond pose' and is recommended by the yoga experts to be performed after lunch or dinner. It aims to increase the blood flow to the lower abdomen and help in controlling obesity.

3. Ardha halasana - It is a 'half plough pose' and works like a miracle in burning the fat in the thighs, abdomen, and hip region. 

4. Paschimottanasana - The yoga asana is also known as 'forward bend pose' that helps to reduce abdominal fats.

5. Setu Bandhasana - The 'Bridge Pose' effects positively on kidneys and the nervous system.

6. Ardha Matsyendrasana - The 'Sitting Half Spinal Twist' pose aims to stimulate the cardiac and nervous system of the body.

7. Janusirsasana - The yoga asana is commonly known as 'One-legged Forward Bend' and works wonders on the abdomen fat and thus aids in weight loss.
