10 Crore Cash At Delhi Judge Home: Arnab On Why SC Collegium and CJI Sanjeev Khanna Made A Mistake

Major corruption scandal hits the Delhi high court after a fire accident uncovers hefty amounts of cash from the residence of Delhi High Court judge, Justice Yashwant Varma. Supreme Court Collegium now comes under criticism after it's swift decision to transfer the corrupt judge to Allahabad High Court. But Allahabad High Court Bar Association issues strongly worded letter saying they are not a trash bin.It is extremely unfortunate that the action of the Supreme Court of India has come under scrutiny. But how would it not be, and why should it not come under scrutiny, when the fact is that the Supreme Court has not acted effectively enough till date on a cash scam involving a very senior high court judge? If it is true that ₹15 crore in cash was found burning in his house, and that cash was unaccounted for, and if this case goes back to the 14th of this month, that is almost a week back, then why has the Supreme Court done nothing till date? If this matter was brought to the notice of the Honorable Supreme Court and the collegium, and if the matter was within the knowledge of the collegium, then why has the collegium, in the pendency of action on the complaint, chosen to transfer this judge to the Allahabad High Court?
