In a significant counter-terrorism operation, the Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) in collaboration with Haryana’s Special Task Force (STF) apprehended 19-year-old Abdul Rehman from an abandoned house in Pali village, Faridabad, Haryana, on March 2, 2025. The operation was initiated following intelligence inputs received by the Gujarat ATS on February 28, 2025, indicating Rehman’s alleged connections with a terrorist organization and his involvement in plotting a major terrorist incident. On March 2, 2025, acting on intelligence, a joint team of Gujarat ATS and Haryana STF conducted a raid in Pali village, Faridabad. Rehman was apprehended from an abandoned house, where two live hand grenades were also recovered. The bomb disposal squad was called to the scene to safely neutralize the explosives. During interrogation, Rehman allegedly confessed that he had been receiving online training from operatives linked to the Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISKP) module for last several months.
