STORYLINE:

Stuart Bingham's bid to win the World Championship was thrown off course by bad luck in his semi-final on Friday - but moments later good fortune smiled on him at just the right time.

The 2015 champion was trying to steal the 19th frame against Mark Selby when he inadvertently potted the blue into the top left corner - leaving him snookered on the pink.

He managed to extricate himself out of that situation - and then found lady luck on his side when moments later he missed the ;pink only for the ball to rebound off five cushions and drop into the top right pocket.

Bingham took full advantage - winning the frame and opening up a 13-11 lead going into the final session on Saturday.
