Reaction from Warren Gatland after the British and Irish Lions came from behind to win 22-17 against South Africa in the series opener at Cape Town Stadium on Saturday.

Thanks to Handre Pollard's four penalties, the 'Springboks' lead by nine points (12-3) going into the break.

However the Lions fought back in the second half, started by Luke Cowan-Dickie's try early on.

Two minutes later, Willie Le Roux thought he had placed the ball over the line for South Africa, but video official Marius Jonker overruled referee Nic Berry and cancelled the try for a marginal offside.

The Lions withstood a late onslaught from the hosts, but held on to condemn South Africa to another loss in Cape Town, where the 'Springboks' have not won since September 2014.

The two remaining tests (Saturday 31st July and Saturday 7th August) also take place in the country's legislative capital, where another Test win for the Lions would secure a first series victory in South Africa since 1997.
