Mohammadreza Geraei fulfilled his dream of adding the World wrestling title to the Olympic gold he won at the Tokyo Games on Sunday.

Geraei triumphed in the Greco Roman 67 kilogramme final at the 2021 Oslo World Championships in Norway.

It was Iran's fourth gold in the discipline and, added to the three Freestyle golds picked up earlier in the tournament, it took Iran to seven overall - two more than the United States and Japan - and gave the team the added distinction of topping the overall medals table.

Geraei defeated Nazir Abdullaev from the Russian Wrestling Federation 5-2, after compatriot Meysam Dalkhani had won the 63kg class earlier in the day.

Serbia's Zurab Datunashvili won his nation's first medal at the championships by beating Turpal Bisultanov of Denmark for the gold in the 87 kilogramme final.
