Anthony Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn thinks British heavyweight Dillian Whyte should "take priority" in facing WBC champion, Tyson Fury.
Joshua and Fury have agreed on basic terms for a highly anticipated unification fight in 2021, but Whyte has called in lawyers to use his status as a mandatory challenger for the WBC title.
Speaking on Friday in a video chat with Matchroom Boxing sponsors JD Sports, Hearn explained why his focus is on ensuring his WBC interim heavyweight champion finally gets to challenge for the belt after waiting over a thousand days for a title shot.
Whyte is due to face Russia's Alexander Povetkin on 22nd August in the climax of a four-week comeback event entitled 'Fight Camp', which will be hosted in the garden of Matchroom Boxing's headquarters, east of London.

The event will take place with no fans and strict health procedures, and is expected to be the first pay-per-view boxing event to take place behind closed doors in Britain.
