WWE Universe is facing a huge backlash from its fans after the main event of Hell in a Cell 2019 between Universal champion Seth Rollins and Bray Wyatt. The entre Golden 1 Centre booed after the main event match ended abruptly without a result. The rivalry between Seth Rollins and Bray Wyatt ‘The Fiend’ was built for a long time and it seemed to be one of the epic matchups at a main event PPV. However, WWE disappointed its fans by ruining one of the epic clashes of Hell in a Cell.
Seth Rollins managed to plant 15 Curb Stomps on Bray Wyatt ‘The Fiend’ but Bray kicked out every pin attempt at the single count. The idea of surviving 15 Curb Stomps made Rollins’ signature move look weak and the entire crowd booed WWE’s plan for the match. The Universal Champion used chairs, ladders, toolboxes and every type of dangerous props to defeat his opponent inside the cell. However, The Fiend managed to exit every way. Finally, Rollins turns his attention towards Bray Wyatt with a sledgehammer in his hand and the referee did not like the idea. The referee tried to stop the Universal champion but Seth Rollins hit his opponent with the sledgehammer. Seth Rollins was immediately disqualified from the match and it ended with no result. According to the fans, WWE ruined the PPV main event in order to retain Seth Rollins as the Universal Champion and prevail Bray Wyatts’ image of Fiend as invincible.
The match was cancelled out but Bray Wyatt started to punish Seth Rollins and the fans did not like the idea. There were chants of 'AEW' all around the Golden 1 Centre and WWE fans considered this as one of the worst matches of Hell in a Cell ever. There was no definite result of the interesting build-up and WWE fans showered their disappointment over social media. These tweets from fans all over the world surely show their disappointment and anger towards the main event.
Dumbest way to end HIAC. Made no sense but then again this is WWE. It had the I’m Vince McMahon and this is how I want this to end feeling to it. It was bad enough I was having trouble with the app all night and this is what I got.— Jeff Skellenger (@jskellenger) October 7, 2019
Might be the worst ending to a PPV ever— Daniel Spence (@DSpenceOnSports) October 7, 2019
I love #WWE but there is no good that came from that ending. Straight up bad booking personified. Which sucks because instead of talking about Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks absolutely killing it, the focus is now on this horrific Universal title finish. #HIAC— Scott Fishman (@smFISHMAN) October 7, 2019
