Athletics dominate at Asian Para Games
On the inaugural day of the athletics competition at the Hangzhou Asian Para Games, India accomplished a remarkable feat by securing a clean sweep in the men's club throw F51 event. Pranav Soorma, aged 29, emerged as the gold medalist, and in the process, set a new Asian Para Games record with an exceptional throw of 30.01 meters.
Joining him on the podium, Dharambir secured the silver medal with a throw of 28.76 meters, while Amit Kumar claimed the bronze with a throw of 26.93 meters. This outstanding performance by the Indian athletes not only showcased their talent and dedication but also reinforced India's strong presence in para sports on the Asian stage.
