Team India Squad For T20I Series Against Bangladesh
The T20 World Champions India will face Bangladesh at home in a 3-match bilateral affair starting from October 6. Ahead of the start of the series, BCCI has divulged a list of 15 picked names. Suryakumar Yadav , will lead the side, and along with him Hardik Pandya , Arshdeep Singh, Shivam Dube and Sanju Samson are a few of the other names in the roster from the historic T20 World Cup -winning squad. Besides them, the promising young prospect, Abhishek Sharma, who made a dazzling debut in Zimbabwe, has returned to the side. Nitesh Kumar Reddy has been rendered with an opportunity and Mayank Yadav, who was a revelation in IPL 2024, has also found an opening in the national team. Moreover, Riyan Parag is also in the scheme of things, and so is Varun Chakravarthy. Rest of the squad is filled with usual contenders who are looking forward to cement their spot for big occasions.
Suryakumar Yadav was on Saturday appointed as India captain for the upcoming three-match T20I series against Bangladesh , which will also witness the return of express pacer Mayank Yadav. Yadav has been on the sidelines since April 30 after suffering an injury during the IPL 2024.
India will start the series with the first match at Gwalior on October 6. Sanju Samson and Jitesh Sharma are the two wicketkeepers in the side.
