Pakistan might be haunted with their horror showcase against the USA during their groups stage encounter in the ongoing ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024. The associate nation side took the Men in Green to the limits by taking the match to a Super Over and eventually emerging victorious in the clash. A horde of criticism and chatter arose, and tensions were visible on the pitch. But the team's newly appointed head coach Gary Kirsten revealed that the boys are motivated enough for the upcoming task in hand.

“It's a big game India (versus) Pakistan, there's no need for me to motivate the team anymore. They are well-motivated, they are focused for this game.

“We have to forget about the last couple of days and just move forward, that's the only way you can deal with life. Results are results (and they) take care of themselves,” Kirsten told the media on the eve of the match.

Pakistan will face India at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium for the first time. Given the track's nature and uneven bounce, it has emerged as a controversial part of the ongoing T20 World Cup in the United States. Given that India have played two matches in the surface, the edge certainly remains with the Men in Blue. But Kirsten refrained from seeing it as an advantage to the Rohit Sharma-led side. Nevertheless, it is yet to be seen on whether Pakistan will pip India or the Men in Blue would stand tall yet again.
