Big Embarrassment for Barcelona! Dani Almo Still Not Registered by Barca Due to Financial Problems

Dani Olmo caught the notice of FC Barcelona for a possible move this summer after his outstanding performance in Spain's UEFA Euro win. But disturbing news emerged following Barcelona's announcement of his acquisition, throwing questions on his expected action and veering the transfer story.

Barcelona reportedly fails to register Dani Olmo 5 days before the first La Liga game

Last Friday Barcelona made their first significant deal, confirming the purchase of Dani Olmo from RB Leipzig at €55 million plus an extra €7 million in variables. Olmo is supposed to participate in the Joan Gamper Trophy game against AS Monaco on Monday night, although his official debut date is yet unknown.

But based on budgetary limitations, Barcelona still cannot register Olmo, claims Cadena SER. The club still has a €60 million gap to cover their budget even after landing a €40 million contract with food and logistics company Aramark, which helps reduce some of the financial load from unpaid Barca Vision sales. Although Nike and Spotify have been cited as possible partners to pay Barca Vision's outstanding bills in return for a share, no arrangement has yet been decided.

Barcelona hopes to sign Nico Williams and is hopeful about it. Williams is reasonable, though, given no notable sales ahead and questions about the registrations of not only Olmo but also Viter Roque, Inigo Martinez, Clement Lenglet, Eric Garcia, and others. Time is running out for Sporting Director Deco and President Joan Laporta to fix these problems as their first La Liga game against Valencia at Mestalla fast draws near on Saturday evening.
